Bijan Sarhangpour: Honoring His Son and Supporting the Community

Bijan Sarhangpour was a longtime talent in the sport of fencing—having competed in numerous international fencing events throughout his young sporting career.

Currently the Director of Baku Oil Services (BOS), Bijan Sarhangpour now enjoys the opportunity to give back to the sport, and to the local community, through the recently completed Rouzbeh Sarhangpour Fencing Academy—an all-new fencing facility that bears the name and continues the legacy of his recently-deceased son, Rouzbeh.

Offering Opportunities to Local Youth

Officially opened in March 2018, the Rouzbeh Sarhangpour Fencing Academy resulted from a partnership between Bijan and the Fencing Board of Isfahan; an agreement that has led to:

• A world-class fencing facility that offers fencing opportunities to in-need youths throughout the local area.
• Access to education, coaching, and training for local youths interested in fencing opportunities.
• A facility capable of accommodating national and international fencing competitions.
